    Bacon and Egg Pasta Salad

The Best Salad for A Protein-Rich Meal

This summer pasta salad with bacon and eggs is so quick and easy to make that it will surely become one of your favourites for a picnic! It’s also a great clean-out-the-fridge recipe since you probably have most of the ingredients in your refrigerator already: broccoli, cheddar, eggs, bell peppers, etc.

SIMPLY DELICIOUS: Eggs are great for adding protein to a meal, like in this pasta salad. Here is another original recipe using eggs: poached eggs (shakshouka) and polenta fries.

    Do you know turkey bacon?

Turkey bacon is an interesting alternative to pork bacon. Indeed, turkey is a leaner meat and therefore has better nutritional values. In comparison, turkey bacon has 4.5g of lipids for 2 strips, while regular bacon has 6.2g. It’s therefore 30% less fat!

Psst! Caution! Read the ingredient list carefully when choosing turkey bacon because many products on the market contain added sugars and food preservatives. Always choose the product with the shortest ingredient list! Otherwise, make your own vegan bacon with rice paper!
